The Ring of Brodgar on the island of Orkney, Scotland
Some 5,000 years ago, the inhabitants of ancient Scotland built a network of stone circles and burial mounds to celebrate their connection to the Earth. Today, modern Neo-Pagans celebrate their connection to the Earth by building their networks in the infrastructure of cyberspace, although stone does have a reassuring permanence that one can't deny.
